Australian Standard Glass Inspections
QBM can help with your commercial premises with a Glass audit that will give you the status of the glass in your property and, if necessary, outline a program to bring it in line with current standards, thus ensuring that you meet your legal obligations and responsibilities. Case Law has highlighted the requirement that building owners "owe a duty of care" to the occupants/users of the building. This is even more so if the buildings are to be used by children. The inspection process involves the following:
- Assessment of the wind loadings applicable to the buildings within this complex;
- Assessment of the usage of the complex;
- Physical measurement of the area of particular glass panes;
- Determine "Human Impact" considerations;
Determine the appropriate type and thickness of glass required to comply with the current Australian Standards.
