Getting to know the real Don, and the professional Don.

Self-described "workaholic" and Managing Director of Quality Building Management Pty Ltd (QBM), Don Pitt, has a passion for value and client satisfaction.

Since 1997 Don has worked, owned, and managed, QBM under its current name and its former name of Queensland Building Maintenance Pty Ltd.

"We firmly believe that our service is not complete until our clients are 100 per cent satisfied," he said.

The proud father-of-two, who has been married to his wife Debra for 31 years, is a qualified carpenter and joiner and has held an Open Registered Builder's License since 1981, No 16501.

That's a whopping 28 years.

The quiet leader also holds an Associate Diploma of Business Management from Queensland Technical College, he's a Registered Workplace Health and Safety Officer, and a Commissioner of Declarations.

And if that wasn't enough, Don has Building Services Authority licensing in Completed Building Inspections, Emergency Procedures, Fire Equipment Passive (Penetration and Joint Sealing), and Fire Equipment Passive (Wall and Ceiling Lining).

He has also undertaken extensive training while employed with the Queensland Government - gaining expertise specific to property valuations, conveyancing, and contract law.

Don - who's favourite song is "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas - has personally completed over 3,000 sinking fund and insurance valuation reports for over 100 body corporate management companies in Queensland. He has also completed over 300 similar reports for Strata Companies in New South Wales.

Through his 12 years of operating QBM, and the 11 years he spent in senior management roles within the Queensland Government, Don has gained extensive industry experience.

These roles have given Don the personal tools to prepare asset management programs for the State's 52,000 public housing dwellings and thousands of public buildings; generate cost benefit analysis reports covering many tens of millions of dollars for Ministerial submissions and; develop design and contract evaluations for many thousands of public buildings and assets.

Don has also prepared formal contribution lot entitlement analysis reports for a number of strata schemes and has provided advice and report review service for many others.

"I personally have the experience, knowledge, and licensing, to complete all inspections for our clients and I will only employ others with similar skills to ensure the customer gets the best possible service provided only from trained professionals," he said.

Don said he is 100 per cent committed to keeping one step ahead of the competition.

"I never leave home without my phone because I'm always on call - I personally take an interest in all jobs and will guarantee that if we don't get it right the first time for any reason, then I personally will work towards getting it right," he said.

"Clients can be assured that we treat each and every customer as the most important person to QBM and I stress to my staff that the one job we are doing for a particular customer is the most important thing to them at that time and we will treat it as such."

When Don is not working hard to ensure his clients are 100 per cent satisfied, he enjoys holidaying in Canada with wife Debra.
