Dilapidation Reports
The purpose of a dilapidation report is to record the current condition of a property prior to any building work being undertaken. Dilapidation reports are typically undertaken on properties adjacent to the proposed building site. The report can be used to resolve any disputes that may arise during or after the building works. Dilapidation reports are required by most City Councils as part of gaining a construction certificate.
QBM has vast experience with Dilapidation Reporting from commercial, residential and high rise complexes.
The report not only protects the construction company from faulty claims, but protects the building occupants from damage that may have been caused by pile driving or road works or other construction.
It is too late after the fact and almost impossible to prove if damage has been caused by recent works or the result of other factors.
What will QBM do for you?
- Carry out a complete and thorough inspection of the property/properties both internally and externally including paths, and roadways.
- Full and detailed information is gathered, documented and reported
- Full colour photographic evidence of all identified items
